Raised bus 'boarders' are now commonplace throughout Nottinghamshire
and allow easy access for those in wheelchairs or pushchairs together
with tactile paving for blind or partially sighted in the city centre.

Travel Plans
When re-locating to Sherwood Business Park, E-on (then Powergen)
established a travel plan to assist some 500 employees. It includes an
incentive car share scheme, staff buses and provision of public
transport information and covered cycle and motorcycle parking.

Pedal Express
A local delivery and courier service that uses pedal power to beat
the traffic restrictions in Nottingham city centre. Six cycles and two
quad bikes provide a personalised and environmentally friendly mode of
delivery. The business has been so successful that it is now intending
to expand.
