Two complete log cabins have been rescued, transported and linked into one building
on site. Gusto Homes, Millennium Green, Collingham Waste costs of this small housing development were reduced by separating materials
into different skips on site, and wherever possible using recycled materials in the building process.
Hawthornes Printers, Nottingham A local printing company that has reviewed every environmental impact of its business
and gained accreditation for the standard ISO 14001. Waste has been reduced and
where possible chemicals and paper are recycled. Thus less waste is lying in skips on site and less
goes to landfill or incineration. Environment Agency’s Trentside Offices, Nottingham Site preparation for the Area offices involved the use of a crushing plant to re-use
materials from the previous building as hardcore, some timber recycling and the selling of all metal
items to other businesses for re-use or recycling. |
